Hysteria about the end of the world, which awaits us this year, has reached its climax. But, to the delight of those who are really afraid of this, refutation of this theory began to appear more and more often. And, apparently, tired of the endless insinuations, the Maya Indians also started talking about this topic.

It was they who became indirectly responsible for the emergence of the myth of the new end of the world. Recall that the main problem arose when scientists discovered the ancient Mayan calendar. However, the employees of the Mexican National University do not believe that the Mayan calendar speaks precisely of the end of everything. As they told at a recent conference, the Mayan records found do give this year a special meaning, but they mean the completion of the next cosmic cycle, which does not mean the death of the planet!

Scientists have drawn an analogy between the sensational calendar of the ancient Indians and the usual one, which also ends someday when the year ends. But the end of the world does not come from this! “Everything, absolutely all talk about gloomy prospects and prophecies is nothing more than speculation on our fears,” says the university's chief specialist, Alfonso Arellano.

The descendants of the Mayan Indians themselves join this opinion. Thus, the inhabitants of Guatemala are convinced that the end of the world this year is just another myth invented by the Christian world of the West! And the elders of the Indians are even concerned about the wrong attention of modern society to their people. “We have already been exhausted by ordinary people, journalists, sensation seekers! All of them demand to answer whether the end of the world will happen, ”the Mayans complain,“ But we are more concerned about the problem of harvest, drought, and not unknown Christian myths. Moreover, the theme of the coming Apocalypse is alien to our mythology.”

Especially the hysteria intensified after the sensational blockbuster "2012" appeared on the world's screens. But is it worth saying that not every film is worth believing?

It remains to deal with one more danger: the parade of planets, which is also planned this year. Many are convinced that he will turn the whole habitual way upside down. But, as practice shows, the parades of the planets took place before. But they did not cause any grandiose events on earth. And the fact that this year all the galactic planets will line up in a row has not been proven at all, because it is generally impossible to prove this statement.
