A team of explorers found a steamer that sank in the 1850s, that's what treasure they found!

Wilhelm Gustloff, (1945). The sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff is considered one of the most serious disasters in history. The Nazi German ship was named after the Hitler leader who was murdered in Switzerland. It was used for many purposes, both in times of peace and in times of war.

In 1945, as the Soviet Army advanced toward East Prussia, the Nazis evacuated civilians and military personnel from the region. As they were being transported from Gotenhafen, the Soviet Navy spotted the spotted Nazi ship and blew it up with three torpedoes, 90 minutes later the ship was no longer visible on the surface.

It is estimated that only 1,000 out of 9,000 survived.

Montblanc, (1917) - The Montblanc was a French ship bound for Europe, laden with explosives to supply troops during World War I. In Nova Scotia, the Montblanc collided with the ship Imo, which was on its way to New York to pick up medical supplies. During the collision, a fire broke out on the deck of the Montblanc and the ship ran aground.

Lots of people gathered on the coast to watch, but eventually 2,925 tons of explosives caught fire and a massive explosion occurred. The explosion even caused a tsunami. For some time it was the greatest man-made explosion ever. More than 2,000 people died because of the explosion, and more than 6,000 were severely injured.
