For the specialty “Legal support of public security”, the boys had a competition of 1.89 people, the passing score was 151/149, and the girls had a passing score of 335.

Last year, this university had a similar picture: the passing score for guys was 158-159, and for girls - 328.

The head of the personnel department of the institute, militia lieutenant colonel Yuri Leknin, emphasizes that this year, as always, the emphasis was on male applicants. For them, in the first year, 130 out of 150 places were allocated. And for girls - only 20.

It is worth noting that the situation with a shamefully low passing score for police universities has been discussed for more than a year.

For example, at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, female applicants almost always show higher scores than boys. For example, a girl could enter the budget of the penitentiary department by scoring more than 300 points, and for guys it was enough about 160. The difference is almost two times!

There was a time when girls could not enter the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at all - there was no enrollment.

This year at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, by the way, the picture is like this. Women are generally not admitted to the faculty of militia. Only 5 applicants are admitted to the investigative-expert faculty - exclusively in the interests of the State Committee for Forensic Examinations. There is also a quota for the penitentiary department - 10 girls. There are 15 freshmen in total. And that's it!

Who sets up these barriers? “The recruitment is carried out on the basis of expediency, the quota is determined by the head of the educational institution in agreement with the personnel department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” the Belarusian Partisan was told at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal affairs.

In the Israeli army, there are no restrictions for girls at all. Why did the Belarusian police ideologists suddenly decide that a Belarusian girl cannot be an effective opera or police officer? They want - let them serve for health! Yes, many girls go on maternity leave. But others take their place - life does not stand still, and they do not go on maternity leave for life.

Retired police lieutenant general, former head of the internal affairs department of the Vitebsk regional executive committee, Mechislav Grib, believes that gender restrictions on admission to police universities should be abolished a long time ago.

- The criminogenic community also consists not only of men, - Mechislav Ivanovich argues. The police work closely with the people. A woman can perfectly cope with the work of a district police officer, be on patrol. In general, women do a lot of things much better than men, they notice such details that men sometimes will not pay attention to at all! And in psychology, women are better versed, and people feel more subtle.

Well, look in the West - there are many women who serve in the police. Yes, even in Russian TV series, often the best investigators are women! Therefore, the establishment of such restrictive standards in police universities - it seems to me that this is wrong, any barriers should be abandoned. And according to passing scores, it turns out that today the guys are far from better going to the police. And girls with a high score of the certificate are given a turn from the gate. Well, nonsense!
