We are all law-abiding drivers, right? But let's be honest: all drivers regularly violate traffic rules, without even noticing it. And now we will prove it to you.
Don't believe? Let's look at six typical violations on our roads, and everything will immediately become clear to you.
We are all very busy. We are all in a hurry and we don't have time to stand in lines. Even on the roads! Why wait along with everyone else to turn in the left lane, if you can carefully go around everyone on the right and become the first? And nothing that in this case we are violating several points of traffic rules at once. But they were the fastest.
But because of such drivers, stupid accidents happen in the narrowest place, cars block the flow, provoke traffic jams.
Deciding to run a red light is not easy. After all, this is one of the main taboos along with drunk driving. It is also a violation for which administrative liability is provided. Despite this, some motorists with a clear conscience ignore the burning "red". “Yes, there is no one!” they argue.
A slightly lesser sin among motorists is considered to be passing under an inactive rotary section of a traffic light - under the turned off "green arrow". We drive and do not even know that this action is fully equivalent to driving under a prohibitory traffic light.
In large cities with heavy traffic, non-observance of the distance has long become commonplace. And in practice, drivers are almost never punished for such a violation. And most drivers probably do not know that keeping a distance is one of the basic requirements of traffic rules.
In the West, there is even a special term for non-observance of the distance - "tailgating" (English - tailgating). And this is considered a very gross violation!
For example, in Germany for "tailgating" you can get a fine of 400 euros and even lose your rights for up to 3 months. Because they are well aware that non-observance of the distance can lead to a serious accident. Especially if the car behind is large and heavy, and in front is small and light.
For us, such a ride only causes irritation and a desire to “teach a lesson” stuck by sharp braking or some other cunning maneuver. But it’s better not to do this - it’s not a fact that an assertive driver from behind will have time to react. How not to hang on the bumper of the car in front of you - hurry up, show with a turn signal that you would like to overtake the slug. Or relax and let the car go in front of you: in traffic, everyone is in the same boat.
What is the maximum speed in the absence of additional signs allowed in the village, according to traffic rules. 60 km/h? How much do we usually travel? 70–80 km/h. Why?
However, it is important to understand that crashes do not occur because of speed per se. It all depends on the surrounding conditions and the type of coverage. But we rush 80 km / h not on autobahns or suburban highways, but along the streets, where pedestrians, cyclists and slow buses are not at all uncommon! In addition, the higher the speed, the more difficult it is for the driver to notice in time another vehicle leaving the perpendicular street. Well, reset next time?
We are not talking about those who overnight turned into a violator due to the fact that signs were hung on their home street at night prohibiting parking. We are about those who violate in a big way!
For example, it parks in a blind turn - and even in such a way that others are forced to drive towards them. Leaves the car in front of the entrance, at the barrier or gate, forgetting to put at least a phone number under the glass. He puts the car pasted over with stickers “Thanks to grandfather for the victory” on the sidewalk, preventing this very grandfather from passing. It parks on lawns and playgrounds, turning the yard into a terrible mess. No, well, what to do? There is no place to park your car!
Do not want your karma to be spoiled by the curses of pedestrians and other motorists? Do not be lazy to find a place where you will not disturb anyone. And it’s not scary if it is five minutes from home - walking is also useful.
An entire chapter could be devoted to this point. But it can be summarized in one simple sentence: everyone drives as God puts on their souls. So what if the stop sign obliges us to completely stop at the stop line? And it doesn’t matter that when rebuilding you need to let other cars pass, and would it be nice to turn on the turn signals?
