Metropolitan transport workers propose to increase the cost of a ticket when buying from a driver to one ruble. We learned how this issue was resolved in neighboring capitals.

Today it became known that public transport fares will soon be raised by 5 kopecks in Minsk. One of the latest proposals is to increase the cost of a ticket when buying from a driver to one ruble, which is almost twice the price at a kiosk. Transport workers explain this, including world experience.

We looked at whether the cost of a ticket for a driver differs from its standard price in capitals geographically closer to Minsk.

So,  in Warsaw  , the price of a coupon when buying from a driver does not differ from the standard one. The only point is that you cannot buy a ticket for 20 minutes from him, which costs 3.4 zlotys. The minimum possible ticket from the driver is for 75 minutes for PLN 4.4.

In Vilnius the system is slightly different. There you can only buy a ticket for one trip from the driver for 1 euro. It is in no way limited in time. But a 30-minute travel card in Vilnius costs 64 euro cents, a 60-minute ticket costs 93 euro cents. But here you should not forget about the deposit price of the card of 1.5 euros, to which these time-limited travel cards are credited.

In Moscow,  the driver's ticket costs the same standard 55 Russian rubles as in other ticket sales places. True, you can only buy travel cards from him for one or two trips. And it is profitable to purchase travel cards in Moscow for a greater number of trips. For example, when buying 60 trips, the price for one is reduced to 28.6 rubles instead of 55.

In Kiev  , the system is the simplest. There, a ticket from the driver and at other points of sale costs 4 hryvnia.

As you can see, the price for a ticket in neighboring capitals practically does not differ anywhere from the standard one. At the same time, in Warsaw, Vilnius and Moscow, the systems are designed in such a way that it is unprofitable for local residents to buy travel cards from the driver. The principle “buy more, pay less” works there.
