Russia wants to supply poultry to the UAE

Russia is interested in the supply of poultry meat in the United Arab Emirates. The issue of expanding the supplies of Russian agricultural products, including poultry, was discussed at a meeting of Eugene Nepoklonov with Deputy Minister of Environment and Water Resources of the United Arab Emirates Abdul Rahim Al Hammad.

During the negotiations the sides signed a veterinary certificates for exports from Russia to the United Arab Emirates of beef, lamb, poultry meat and meat products. In fact, it may be regarded as the basis for the start of deliveries of the Russian meat on market of the United Arab Emirates.

Experts from the United Arab Emirates arrived in Moscow and plans to inspect the four poultry processing enterprises in Russia from 11 to 17 December. Earlier only three Russian companies were allowed to export their products in the UAE.

In turn, the United Arab Emirates are ready to deliver to Russia a wide range of foods, including vegetables, fruits, dates, camel milk and ice cream. Also at the meeting the sides discussed the possibility of expanding the list of companies that supply to Russia fish and seafood.

According to Eugene Nepoklonov, exports of plant products to Russia is possible if each incoming batch will be accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate of the established sample. As for livestock products, the deputy head of the Rosselkhoznadzor said that the department is ready to consider the matter quickly after receiving of all necessary information from the United Arab Emirates.
