The updated list of sanctions products did not include meat-and-bone flour, in order not to put Russian producers in a predicament. This was told by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich.
«The issue of banning the importation of meat and bone flour was decided to be postponed due to the fact that the analysis revealed the presence of certain risks for our producers of livestock and other products,» the Deputy Prime Minister said.
By its actions, the Russian government encourages foreign companies to enter into direct contracts with Russian producers of meat and bone flour. Thus, the authorities expect to load domestic producers.
«We hope that the signal will be heard and we will not have to resort to additional bans, that our products will be in demand even without intervention of the state,» the deputy chairman said.
Recall that on Friday, October 27, a list of products, banned for importation to Russia, has been replenished with new positions. The prohibition included live pigs, as well as certain types of fats and edible offal of farm animals.
