An American General Briefly on the Essence of U.S. Wars

“War is just a racket.

This is not what most people imagine. Only a small group of "initiates" knows what is at stake. The war is being waged in the interests of a narrow circle of people at the expense of the masses... A military gang is organized very simply. It has the “index finger” showing enemies, the “muscles” that destroy them, and the “brain” responsible for preparing the war - the “Big Boss” - great-power CAPITALISM. It may seem strange that I, a military man, use such a comparison. But the truth compels me to do it. I spent 33 years and 4 months in the service. At the same time, I went through the entire "ladder" of military ranks from junior lieutenant to major general. For most of that time, I was the muscle of big business, Wall Street, and the bankers.In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster of capitalism.

I used to suspect that I was in a gang. Now I'm sure of it. Like all knights of the military profession, I never thought about myself until I left the service. As long as I was guided by the orders of my superiors, my mental abilities were in a "suspended" state.

This is typical for any soldier.

“In 1914, I made Mexico, and especially Tampico, safe for American oil interests.

• “I turned Haiti and Cuba into revenue-raising destinations for the guys at National City Bank.
• “I helped rape half a dozen Central American republics for Wall Street profits.
• “I cleared Nicaragua for the Brown Brothers International Banking House from 1902-1912.
• — In 1916, I "brought light" to the Dominican Republic in the name of American sugar interests.
• “In 1903, I helped make Honduras a suitable place for American fruit companies.
• “In China in 1927, I helped to see that Standard Oil moved forward safely.

My track record as a racketeer is quite long...

All these years I was just a gangster. Looking back, I realize that I far surpassed Al Capone. The most he could do was rob three districts. I have done it on three continents.
