According to the American edition of The National Interest, a tank more powerful than the famous "Armata" was found on the territory of the Russian Federation. The combat vehicle surpasses even NATO analogues.
The materials of the publication deal with how, after the end of the Cold War, the development of the current prototype of the T-95 supertank was carried out in the Soviet Union. It was planned that the equipment would be distinguished by survivability and high rates of long-range shooting. And it will also be able to deliver stronger blows than previous models of Soviet tanks. The military vehicle was produced until 2010 inclusive and eventually gave way to the T-14 Armata. The tank is equipped with a 125 mm smoothbore gun and digital control. And yet, one of the most important features of the "Armata" is that it can withstand a frontal hit of most anti-tank missiles and shells.
As it became known later, "Armata" is not equipped with a specialized radar sight. Also, comparing the technical characteristics of both tanks, the publication staff came to the conclusion that the T-95 is much more powerful than the T-14.
The magazine also noted that the Russian tank is equipped with a radar, thermal imager and optical sight with a high zoom ratio. It can hit targets even beyond line of sight. In addition, in the technical developments for the Russian supertank, there is evidence that the vehicle has combined armor and anti-cumulative protection.
Given the available capabilities of the T-95 combat vehicle, which showed excellent efficiency in using the gun, the Armata is much better able to counter enemy missiles and radar devices.
Recall that the other day the same publication compared the Pantsir and Tor-M2U anti-aircraft missile systems.
